Bermudagrass has the fastest growth rate of any of the common warm-season grasses.
It spreads both above-ground stems known as stolons and below-ground stems called rhizomes
Currently Bermuda is dormant for the year. The grass will be yellow or brown.
Dormant Bermuda isn't dead, but taking a rest until the spring when it warms up.
Dormant Bermuda can get damaged in Georgia if it holds water and freezes.
If ice stays on Bermuda for a long period of time it will die due to oxygen depletion (anoxia).
